MAUI FIRE DISASTER RELIEF

As you probably have seen on the news, the island of Maui and the island of Hawaii have had a number of fires breakout.  The worst has been the fires in Lahaina, Maui that destroyed most of the town.  We are working with Hope Chapel in Kihei, Maui.  Rene knows their senior pastor very well and he has preached there often.  The church has already sent $226,000 to help with fire relief.  If you would like to give towards this disaster, please click on the button below.

SYRIAN EARTHQUAKE RELIEF

Through our disaster relief fund, TLC is assisting victims of the recent earthquake in Syria. We are resourcing local Syrian churches and organizations working directly with evacuees. These local contacts are facilitated by our trusted partner Jamal Hashweh in Amman, Jordan and his organization Global Hope Network.

Here is a letter from our partners in Jordan who delivered much needed supplies to those in Aleppo, Syria after the earthquake.  This is how your generous gift was put to use - Aleppo Letter

Donations:  To donate money to our disaster relief fund, click on the "donate button" below.  These funds will help people in our community directly who have been affected by these storms.  Thank you for your support!

At Twin Lakes Church we recognize that God calls us in Scripture to help those suffering from poverty and oppression.

“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.” (Proverbs 19:17)

“If you spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.” (Isaiah 58:10b)

Because emergencies by nature are unexpected and urgent, we have set aside a disaster relief fund so we can be prepared at all times to offer assistance when and where it is needed.

Our benevolence oversight team determines the amount and recipients of donations from this fund. Here are some of the ways TLC has helped others through this fund:

  • Ukrainian refugee assistance through World Venture in Poland

  • Afghan refugee assistance through World Venture

  • California fire evacuation assistance through on-site churches

  • Louisiana hurricane assistance through on-site churches

  • Kentucky Tornado assistance through on-site churches
