LOS ANGELES AREA FIRE RELIEF

Our hearts are broken watching the devastation unfold in the LA area and we are praying for the multiple thousands who have been impacted by the fires. TLC is partnering with Vintage Church LA and other trusted organizations on the ground who are directly serving people who have been displaced and lost their homes. We will keep you posted on other ways TLC will be working to help those impacted by the fires. Please continue to pray for those impacted and for the firefighters fighting the fire. Lord have mercy!

At Twin Lakes Church we recognize that God calls us in Scripture to help those suffering from poverty and oppression.

“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.” (Proverbs 19:17)

“If you spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.” (Isaiah 58:10b)

Because emergencies by nature are unexpected and urgent, we have set aside a disaster relief fund so we can be prepared at all times to offer assistance when and where it is needed.

Our benevolence oversight team determines the amount and recipients of donations from this fund. Here are some of the ways TLC has helped others through this fund:

• Ukrainian refugee assistance through World Venture in Poland

• Afghan refugee assistance through World Venture

• California fire evacuation assistance through on-site churches

• Louisiana hurricane assistance through on-site churches 

• Kentucky Tornado assistance through on-site churches
